Was really supprised and annoyed at the level of wear on the Jack Wolfskin Kids Activate Pant, only about 26 hill days used life
They get washed the same as my Rohan striders. Liquid soap and softshell proofing, so they are treated correctly. no sign of anything on my Rohan (as expected). the bum area is particulary worn. Have looked at any velcro pulling at them ( I am a age where I remember that mantra) and can see no reason for the pilling.
I justified the cost at the outset because they could be handed down through 4 kids now not so sure they will last. Am a little annoyed. .
The mens version has nothing but good reviews.
Would anyone know a reason or could help explain the premature wear
As a father of 5 (eldest 26, youngest 17) and a soon to be grandfather my experience of kids and clothes is pretty simple - no matter the make, model or cost band for "active wear" kids can, will and do trash stuff in next to no time..end of!
Symptom above suggests the little darling has been bum sliding on a slope - perhaps coming down a steep path or even simply having fun on a grass slope at lunchtime.
That said, cant see how bobbling effects more than a little surface wear - take the trews back, see what the shop says - if no joy, then buy a bobble shaver
and dont spend £60 odd on a pair of kids trews again... JJB sports, Millets or Primark can come up with surprising deals for kids that wont have you going when they trash the stuff...
short linky not working - with Firefox..any ideas?
