.JPG) 1. Finally had a go at the TGO challenge - after first reading about it in 1984 - my longest 'holiday' since 1997 2. Getting my other half to come backpacking with me. Not happened for quite a few years - going lighter over the last 3 years has really helped. 3. Tarptent Scarp - relatively flap-free camping in very windy conditions.

 1) Getting to Rum 2) Getting to Arran 3) I think the Nallo remains my favourite bit of kit for the 5th year running.

 1) Five days in the Cairngorms 2) My first proper mountain with my daughter, Moel Siabod. 3) A Snowdon 2 dayer with a bivvy just below the summit.

 1) My Daughters Graduation.
2) Peru. 30 Years late but worth the wait.
3) The Rainforest (Peru again). Like nowhere else I have ever been and absolutely breathtaking.

 In no particular order... 1) Fantastic week in Ullapool with TBW, son Craig, Jamie & Nicky (and other trips to Knoydart, North York Moors, Glencoe etc with various other OMers) 2) Daughter Jennifer completing her Gold DoE and gettting into Strathclyde Universtiy to study Chemistry 3) Making it to 50 not out, slowly like Geoff Boycott! 4) And last, but definitely not least...TBW moving to Ayrshire Here's to 2012...

 - Full on winter walk upto Bidean nam bian with a couple of OM'ers and mrs diddy tho the summit was not reached due to conditions (amazing day none the less).
- My wife being accepted on a nursing course at Uni that she worked very hard to get on ..Going down to one wage was a big step for the next four years...
- Not buying any new gear this year and actually selling what i had two or threes of and finally getting kit down to what i really need and realistically will ever use.
. Probably the worst year for getting onto the hills but im not allowing that to happen again (bloody kids  have better life than me at the mo!! ) and its not money its their social lifes .... And fellow Omers that know me im going to go out of my way this year to try and meet up with you's again if possible.. happy new year xx

 Was that only 11 months ago? That little crowd at the Clachaig seems like years ago.
