A lonely place to die is now up on Virgin movies on demand, nice scenery etc.
But... I am the world's biggest wuss when it comes to scary movies. I can't watch Doctor Who, hate gratuitous violence (odd, I know, for a military historian, but there you go), and don't deal well with movies that are edging anywhere near the 'horror' genre.
Anyone seen this and, given my wussness, is it watchable? Does everyone die horribly? Is it remotely scary?
Booked it the other night. It's...all right. Loses it's way (ha ha) a bit in the last twenty minutes.
It's more of a chase movie than a psychological horror film, if that makes sense. However, if you're looking for reassurance that there's not many guns in it, and they don't get used on folk quite a lot, I can't help you.
That's quite helpful, Scott. I can manage with people being shot dead as long as it's not too graphic, it's things like smashing people's heads in with baseball bats, cutting bits off them, aliens eating them that I can't cope with at all.
All watchable apart from the throat-slitting bits. Not the best movie, and as you say it rather loses the plot. Couldn't understand why they had 2 folding shovels in the one rucksack when they were going scrambling with no snow anywhere, but there you go...!
