Awful news and my thoughts are with his family and friends, especially his walking companion from whom he became separated.

Also worth mentioning the immense efforts by the MRT personnel involved- including Wasdale MRT, Duddon & Furness, an RAF Team, Lakes District Search Dogs and an RN helicopter, all operating in truly atrocious conditions.
