.JPG) Ok, I've noticed this a few times now on various threads, but quite often when I look at the lists of threads it will say "last post by " and 26 posts.
However, when I open the thread up , I find the thread to include 21 posts, and the last post by a different person entirely.
For example: the current thread "PRIMUS ETA PACKLITE....." on my 'puter says
last post by "Mike Fae Dundee" and 26 posts in the thread.
Opening the thread shows the last post by Twigletzone as the 21st of 21 posts.
What gives ? Is this an error in the browser or have some posts been subsequently deleted?

sometimes a spammer appears and then is deleted..but leaves a trace on the thread. Not that I am inferring, in any way, that Mike is a spammer... (Other than that..not a clue)

Nope, it aint that, since some of the missing posts/posters are shown already in the thread.

Maybe it's an issue with the session tables on the forum databas, cookies or somesuch. Now you've mentioned it I see a lot of mismatch between number of posts shown on the index & the actual posts once you go into the thread

 It's spammers being deleted or OMers you've got on ignore.

Don't thinks so - been on here a fair bit tonight & as of my post this thread has 11 posts according to the index but 12 when you come into it. I've not seen any spammers on this thread & I enjoy the sport too much to put anyone on ignore!

Are you sure it's not that there are 11 (now 12) replies to the thread, and 12 (now 13) posts in total?
