ive just managed to get hold of a thermarest haven regular top bag really cheap, always a bonus. it says that you need the approprieate sleeping pad to go with it for it to work correctly, so what would be appropriate?

ive already got a neoair trekker which has an R value of 2.1, i think, but i dount think this matress would work as the bag is tapered and the mat isnt.

anyone got any experiences of this bag or advice?

I really can't see the advantage of having mat  inside as in the TAR photo above unless you have another mat (e.g. ccf foam) outside underneath you aswell. Surely, the bag will be getting dirty/damp from groundsheet and much down on the wrong side of the mat?
