Can anyone think of any unclimbed peaks? Or a difinitive list anywhere? Total pain tryi v to find any info on the subject and would make the trip of a lifetime!
Friend of a friend bagged a couple last year (cant remember specifics) and have to say I'm mildly envious haha!
Interesting and useful reading, thanks for that! Time to get some maps of the arse end of nowhere! Shame virtually everything in Europe has been climbed but having something on your doorstep would be too good to be true most likely.

I don't like to go on about it too much, but it was a fun trip

Oooh... I'm sure there are plenty of unclimbed peaks remaining in Europe. The problem is not remoteness, or steepness, but in some places just the density and thorniness of the vegetation.
Unforunately (for climbers) a number of unclimbed peaks have remained unclimbed as local people regard them as holy. This is the case for many mountains in Bhutan, where climbing is banned due to "the Bhutanese government's respect for local customs that consider this and similar peaks to be the sacred homes of protective spirits". However, many of these mluntains are 7000m or so, meaning that you'd need to be pretty experienced to have a chance anyway!
