This is a bit of a long shot but has any one been to luib chonnal bothy feb about 2 years ago and found and enjoyed half a bottle of dalwhinnie whisky i left behind? silly post but hey!
No not at all, just a was at culra last month and went to get my whisky out my pack it slipped and smashed on the floor but we found half a bottle of grouse in one of the other rooms and the year before someone left some slow at corrour bothy not that we drank it. its just that i've only been doing bothy trips for last 3 year and seems that some people who use them are very thoughtful leaving spare gas, chocolate, matches, firewood ready to get the bothy tele going, for the next people, saying that we went to ben alder last year and where greeted by a shit right next to the front door filthy tw@ts!
I had free Whiskey at Allt Scheicheachan bothy last New Year - which was good coz i ended up staying there 2 nights rather than the planned 1, and i'd run out of firewood the 2nd night so whiskey was nice and warming for a while!
I hope the bothy is still as good as it was around 4 or 5 years ago. The guy who owned the hotel at Roy Bridge used to look after it. He always made sure there was a supply of logs downstairs. I don't know if they are still there, but there was a leather suite upstairs, complete with reclining armchair.
