otherwise, i larksfoot the stuffsack to an internal adjuster cord, or a loop stitched into a pocket. i've also larksfooted one to the hangloop of a down jacket...but to my mind, down should be in a waterproof bag!

.and as for 101 uses....the first is 'sew them together to make a new jacket', surely? ;-)

I like stuff sacks. I use them for organising all the other bits and pieces that I need to pack.
I hardly ever use then for the item they were supposed to go with.

As S Wright said Down and (wet) waterproofs need dry bags anyway.

They make very handy wee bags to put "odds and ends" in!

I hardly ever use the supplied stuffsack. They are usually too small. Ditto a pack pocket. Any insulation goes into my pack, and the rest of the gear compresses it. Lots of little footballs (tightly compressed s/sacks) means lots of dead space in the pack.

Loose stuff-sacks?
Mostly use plastic zip-locks, a la TP no doubt uses?

When I get anything that comes in one of these drawstring bags.I always seem to find that once the item inside is out.It refuses to fit back in.I had that problem with a new folding chair and a separate folding table.I managed to get them out on the field. But returning home would they re enter the bag.No is the answer to that.I still have my chair and table but not the bags.I think they've escaped to pastures new.Jim.

"or tucked away in the dark corners of sock drawers."

Chuckled at that, as all mine live there.
