 hello all, gonna be up in the northern lakes area from mon 13th to fri 17th feb. Looking to see if anybody up there on tue 14th or thurs 16th and wants to meet up for a day out, as i will be let loose from the misses on those two days.

It's a gud un! Full English Breakfast before hitting the fells - can't beat it! We've just had a calender session & I'll not be there on the 17th after all - it'll be the weekend before.

 just realised... I'm staying in Grasmere Thursday (16th) & Friday (17th) and was thinking of driving up to Keswick on the Friday to do a walk from there (Coledale maybe?) ...or whatever

Nah - opted for Southern Uplands instead. Will likely be at Sykeside sometime soon

hi glynn im ok for the 16th, am staying just north of caldbeck and was thinking of walking over the tops to keswick so if you could get over to back of skiddaw i could give you a lift back to your car from keswick where the mrs will be waiting for me. maybe do roughten gill and over knott and calva maybe even skiddaw if weather and time permits.

 Are you thinking of stopping off for a walk on the way through? I could get to Kendal, Windermere and Ambleside easily enough tomorrow, but north of Caldbeck itself is too far.

sorry paddy will have to get where going first with the mrs and everything we need for the weeks self catering so car will be full and not sure what time going through, but if you can get anywhere near on the other days i could meet up ?? on tue am planning on setting off from fell side and up roughten gill, knott, great calva, then over to keswick over skiddaw or if short of time follow the easier route round the bottom. cheers

Fair enough. Can't do Tuesday. The rest of the time I can reach Keswick by about 0930, but Caldbeck isn't an option until summer.

i could send you my mobile number by pm but i recall you dont have a mobile?? could poss meet up keswick on thursday and do said route tother way round.(provided i can get mrs fenbo up early enough to get me to keswick on time )
