Excellent photos Diddy. Looks lke you had a great time. Good route up Swirral then on to Grisedale Tarn. Did you go down Grisedale or over the top of St Sunday as well?? The latter would have made it a quite long winter's day. Up Dovedale to Dove Crag and round to Red Screes then was it down Caiston Gill from Scandale Pass?? One photo mentioned Swindale. I'm probably being a bit forgetful but I'm not sure where that is around that sort of area. There was a photo later on that had the path heading down to the path just above/to the side of Brotherswater. I recognise that. Anyway, thanks for the photos. I enjoy working out people's walk routes from photos. Keeps my memory fresh of the Lakes. Looks like good weather for your walk and conditions looked positively wonderfull.

Yeh we did camp the Friday night but boy it was muddy and cold so I thought I would treat the mrs to a little luxury and it was much better to get the next days kit sorted in the bunkhouse lol. I sure no how to spoil a gal I do wish I was there now.

At least you got the order right, cold muddy then warm and dry! Better than trying to do the opposite!!!!!

Good pictures and the first one looking down Striding edge - awesome! A firm reminder of why I went up there in January myself, although we had too much wind to summit Helvellyn. I'm alternating between green and red, with envy and with anger/frustration. Maybe next year.
