Travel towel A: 50 grams Size of a tea towel Travel towel B: 100 grams Double the size of a tea towel Is there any benefit from getting towel B? I mean its not like i can wrap myself up in it either way. Should i save myself 50 grams of weight or can anyone give me a reason the the bigger towel may be useful?

If you actually want to dry yourself with it then B will soak up twice as much water. Irrelevant for a face wash or the like but after a swim or a bath or shower it makes the difference between getting reasonably dry and sort of a bit dry (ish). As usual, you choose, you lose... Pete.

B would be more useful if you went skinny dipping and had to walk back naked to the camp B would also be more useful if there was more of you to dry B could dry you and still have enough dry-ability to wipe down the condensation in your tent B could dry you and then still be able to be put in your pack without being soping wet and making everything else in there damp B could be used for making a sling for your arm if you break / sprain it B could also be used for wrapping around your head, turban like for extra insulation So I would go with C

You'd have to get really close to someone to flick them with the small wet towel increasing the risk of successful retribution. I'd go bigger.

Option T 1kg Size of 10 large bath towels Problem solved!

 There's the 'King' option.
Don't take one; we dry you know.

I bought a big one in a sale, then cut it into 3 towels.

Now you just need 2 friends.

I hate everyone, Kinley. My son and daughter got the others.

Splashing out at Christmas? tbh I was very glad for a large travel towel on my last multiday trip. A small one wouldnt have been good

Theres always bumper pack of loo roll as an option. I've got an MSR towel which is 63g and 50x90cm, folds up tiny, drys super quick and does all the jobs I need it too. I wouldn't use it as a shower towel - but if I needed one of those I'd be somewhere porbably with a carpark and would bring a beach towel anyway.

Those are all absolutely huge... Mrs Stove & I each got by with ones slightly smaller than A4, for a years' travelling & hiking. We had 1 each, and a spare 'dirty' one between us that was used for wiping our legs & feet after hiking in the desert, wiping condensation off the tent etc. I found I could dry myself perfectly well after swimming/showering with the small towel, wringing it out a few times during the process, and it didn't take much longer than using a full size towel. We bought one cheap one from Kathmandu, cut it into pieces, and sewed the edges to prevent fraying. Or you could get an 80g silk sleeping bag liner and make it massively multi-purpose- sarong, washing sack, sleeping bag, towel...
