Hi,

I am about to order a Rab Alpine jacket(bargain at Cotswold now), and was wondering on the sizing of this top. I have a few Rab jackets and they are a closer fitting size, just wondered if anyone who has the Alpine Jacket can tell me how this jacket fits?

I want to use it over a thickish fleece for my cycle commute mainly, but will use it for walking too. I’m normally a medium in Rab clothes, just wondered if I may need a large.

I have the Alpine pull-on, so i can't say if the fit is the same as the jacket. But i find the pull-on to be a bit looser than my other Rab stuff (Demand pull-on and Generator smock). For comparison i find the Generator fits snugly on me and i could squeeze a light micro-fleece or something under the Demand. I could probably put a mid-weight fleece under the Alpine pull-on no problems.

Not that this is necessarily relevant for the Alpine jacket though, i'm afraid...

It's a great material though - ideal compromise between weatherproofness and breathability.

Thanks for reply Rod, I did have the Alpine Pull-on for a short while just over a year ago, I didnt get on with the overhead style, but was impressed otherwise with the jacket. I just cant remember how the fit was! I only wore it a couple of times.

I'd probably expect the fit to be a bit different vs the pull on version.

Hi Martin, I have mailed a couple of shops today, still waiting to hear back.

I just remember seeing a few posters on another thread say they have got the jacket, so thought I'd try on here too.

I may just order a medium and a large, and send back the one that I dont need, postage shouldnt be much as they are pretty light.
