Anybody know of a decent case that'll outdoor proof my Kindle?

A ziploc bag would be at least waterproof but I'm looking for something idiot/clumsy Bigbananafeet proof.

I've cut a bit of stiff plastic to cover the face of mine and held that in place with two heavy duty high-tech laccy bands.

And put it in a ziploc bag

I think this might be what your after

It might be also be worth getting a

Zagg invisable shield

it covers front and back and keep your product new and free from scratches, comes with lifetime gaurentee but they are not cheap,Daughter has one on her Ipad 2 and to me its money well spent.

That Proporta one looks the biz but the cheapskate in me likes Ed's idea...has impact protection too!

I think I might see what I can fashion myself now that I think about it.

Hi Sandy,

Hope all is well mate.

For short trips I have used the kindle app on my phone with the backlight off and a headlamp.

Cheers,

Stephen

I'm good Stephen, not spoken to you in ages. When your next trip over from Belguim to climb the pointy stuff?

I'm back to an old "dumb phone" these days after I killed my last one in a waterproof pocket full of water recently...

When funds allow for a new smart phone it'll be a rugged outdoorsy type. Using an app on it might be good. Doesn't get much lighter than an app!

 Go on Ed...show us yours

In the US for 3 years! Furry-boots in the states are you? In a mountainous region I hope!

Aye, give us a bell when you're over in the UK.

I've got a sheet of black hdpe plastic 2mm thick I bought in error.  If anyone wants a kindle sized piece for a MYOG project send me a PM - cost would just be p&p

Nah we are in Michigan, its just as flat as bloody Belgium but load of Wilderness and lakes, and only a 2 hours flight to some good stuff.

See ya in April
