Has anyone ever used/tried these, been suffering with plantar tendon probs in one foot and currently using montane enduro insoles to help it, but always looking for alternatives for when they wear out.

They are not customizable but I use Sidas. I have a few pairs of the Conform'able and they are fantastic. I'll not leave for a walk without a pair in my footwear.

Edit: are you the Darwen guy (name rings a bell)? They sell them in Whalley Warm & Dry; or they did the last time I visited.

Yes i am mate thanks for that i will have a look at them. Are the arches on them pretty high and how thick are they at their thickest poin,t if you don't mind measuring them. Just interested to see if they would fit in my existing trainers/boots without reducing the internal volume too much. Ta pal

The standard grey confoamable ones can be custom moulded - whatever the shop may tell you. They put them in their oven machine and they go flat and are fitted like other ones. I have two pairs custom moulded this way by a guy who had done 700 plus pairs in their various guises in just one ski season.
Do not, uner any circumstances, aloow yourself to ve fobbed off with the flat (possibly still orange) ones. These are meant for non bendable soles like ski boots. They break in normal shoes.

These http://tobys.com/files/product_images/conform%27able%20universal%20energy.jpg & http://www.hiking-site.nl/graphics/indekijker/conform_able_inlegzolen_big.jpg are the ones that I use and love so much.

They are quite high, not greatly though. The thickest point is at the heel; a sort of high-sided cup which is 20mm. The rest of it is 8-10mm. This is shoe size 9-11.
