I'm going to start looking into travel insurence over the next week, but don't really have much of an idea on where to start looking for good insurence offer. I'm looking for a policy that covers treking, outdoor activities, extreme sports type stuff, which will hopefully cover me from India, to Nepal, to SE Asia, Oz, NZ and South America.
Are there any seasoned travellers out there who can make any recommendations?
As always, thanks for any help/suggestions/information.

The grammar in that post was crap...but then I am on the verge of being a little drunk.

BMC or Snowcard are the two I've used in the past because they're specifically aimed at outdoor people and there's no weazely small print about what is and isn't a trek. If you're not sure what level of cover you need, call them and talk it through. Take a look at the annual policy terms as well.

Agree with Jon, BMC are very hard to beat and give you piece of mind. Do read the small print though, the bit about friends/family being fit and able even if they are not on the insurance.
Well! small print can be a bugger, BMC still tops though.

I have used Snowcard/Activcard in the past and when the going gets tough and you break a useful joint in a silly place (geographically) they are superb.

Thaks very much guys - the BMC policy is looking promising so far.

I have the Activecard and it covers everything I need especially on the medical front with rescue and repatriation included.
Just a word of warning though, AFAIK, no travel insurance will cover you if you venture to places that the Foreign Office advise against visiting. You could very easily find yourself in the middle of a jam and no cover, so check on FCO.gov.uk beforehand.

Travel insurance is quite beneficial to you as It covers all risks related to theft, loss, damage, medical expenses in abroad, accidental death, injury benefits, legal assistance, delayed departure at the airport or sea port etc. you can go for the good insurance companies by searching on internet.
