Reet-o. I know I'll not be doing it until November(ish), but I was thinking of doing a bit of a forum journal type thing when I do the Annapurna circuit (and any other trek I embark upon - if and when I get t'interweb access out there) - basically, I just wanted to check it'd be ok/there'd be no objections to me starting a diary-type thread?

Potentially Proper bo on a stick, I tell thee.

Well, I'd be interested in reading it, and so would my sister as she's planning something similar for next year.

Great idea, and doesn't necessarily require internet cafes if you use the right combination of telephone and PDA.

Hodge, I'm going over on the 23/24th Nov so would be very interested in anything you have to say about it before then.

Fine with me, but you'll only find net access in Kathmandu, possibly Jomsung and in Pokhara at the end of the trek, which has the slowest internet connection of anywhere I've ever been...

I suppose you might find something in Manang as well and at the Dutch bakery which is after Marpha on the day after Jomsung. Unless you're planning on taking a satellite phone along with you :-)

If it's any good, we could always run it as an article. BUT WE CAN'T PAY YOU :-(

Thanks Jon. Nah - not interested in money. As long as someone, somewhere enjoys what's written, that's payment enough - I very much doubt it'd be good enough for an article anyway!

Hodge, any feedback on the Maouist issue and also how busy it is would be great. Also, a bit of weather input would be nice.
Ta mate.
