I have used these (and the previous incarnation) for many years now. I wear them over the top of a pair of 1000 mile socks and the combination is absolutely superb in all but the warmest of conditions. Dry and warm feet, never a blister in sight.

Matthew, are Sealskinz a bit on the thick side? Do you think they'd be OK over a pair of sock liners?
1000 milers are a combination of a liner and quite thin wool sock. I bought walking boots with the intention of wearing this combination so they fit perfectly and I have no problems with the thickness.
Having said that, I wear sealskinz on their own with my mountain bike shoes which were bought to suit normal socks and still find them OK.
I wouldn't wear anything else.

...on my feet underneath my booths that is!
Not the naked rambler me!
 argh!! boots! Not booths.
I've got a headache.....

I've found they work well with liner socks, as long as your footwear is large enough. If it isn't you end up with constricted blood supply to the feet and then they feel cold, which kind of defeats the object really.
Weird things in that they seem to work perfectly for some people and really badly for others. I really do put it down to how much your feet sweat. I think.

I’m usually found wearing lightweight footwear (not water-proof) and regularly use SealSkinz combined with a thin CoolMax liner sock.
Obviously not something that's needed too much during the summer - we hope!

If you’re worried about sweaty feet, just develop a routine of whenever you stop for a break; make a point of airing your feet. It’s a practice I started on the West Highland Way and you’ll almost hear your feet thanking you.
I tend to do it now whatever I’ve got on my feet – it’s just so nice!
I walk solo most of the time, so those who walk in groups may baulk at this suggestion!

 euugghh 1000 milers!
Been walking for about 5 years since I was 10 and never had a blister with the good old cheap thick sock/thin sock setup. Tried my nice new 100 milers for a nice easy flat 20 miles on Sunday and got humungous blisters!
Never again! - back to the good old cheapy option for me.
I think it was the ribs in the socks that marmalised my sole!
Quite the opposite for me. Always got blisters. Bought 1000 milers. Now never get blisters.
As Jon says, these things work for one person and not for another.
The foot-airing thing sounds a good idea (probably keeps the midgies away). My feet tend to go soft and soggy if they're kept in socks for too long.
I also got blisters running in 1000 milers, due to the seam. Nightmare! Never again...
Me too, never suffered from blisters till I tried a pair of 1000 milers then got some horrible ones
Long live Thorlos...tho am v.tempted to try these Sealskinz
I've had no problem with Sealskinz - I used them during the summer with non w/proof trail shoes for backpacking in Lakes. They're expensive, but I'm glad I bought them :)

I'm surprised at just how good the breathability is, as I had fairly low expectations.
I've used seal skin, merino version next to the skin and found them fine.
