Ummm is it just me or has anyone else noticed this...

The people who would want/need a Lowe gore-tex paclite might not have "Gore-Tex kit" at the moment hence why they would want to enter the competition.

Should it be retitled "upgrade your gore-tex kit competition"?!

Yes, I thought that too. I haven't owned anything made of gore-tex (apart from those bl**dy awful Salomon boots) since about 1988. By the time I had to replace my old Berghaus Mistral, the cheap stuff had overtaken the old Goretex kit so I've never bothered since. £200 for a pac-a-mac doesn't appeal.

Maybe a better competition would have been "send in a photo of yourself soaking wet through and really fed up in your leaky old bin-bag". I would have had a few entries lined up for that.

Not forgetting that unless you've used a self-timer then the picture of you is likely to have been taken by someone else anyway. In that case the photograph is the copyright of the person who took the picture.....is it morally right to claim a prize for what is somebody elses copyright material?

Either way it seems i'm not getting that coat!

Actually I have found I do own some gore tex
tnf jacket sister found at a charity shop!
army issue gore tex jacket and trousers.

My point about cheap kit needing replacement then.....!

or is this some sneaky advertising ploy designed to bring attention to gore-tex kit (purely a coincidence that it's a sponser eh?!). Maybe its super-cunning and we all have to buy a £200. pacamack so we can photograph ourselves in it to win another £200 pacamack!

The devious ways some people have to make us part with our money!
