How was the trek across Scotland? Thought about you several times when the weather forecast was atrocious !!

Come on PW, give us the lowdown on the Challenge. I'm still recovering from the Challenge dinner – a grand night appeared to be enjoyed by all.

Howdy Andy and Cameroon :)

The Challenge was an absolute blast, and undoubtedly one of the best things I've ever done! The endless miles of unutterably beautiful scenery blew me away on almost an hourly basis, but the best part of all was definitely the fun with the other Challengers along the way. The last day was just unreal, the major fun starting with a rude rebuff from a slightly grotty pub which resulted in a lunchtime picnic of red wine, G&T (served cold in smart titanium mug!), bananas, flapjack, pistachios and some sort of dire emergency ration in a cow byre by the side of the road, and culminated in a quick strip - 4 blokes and 3 girlies - on the beach at St Cyrus, followed by a sprint to the sea and total immersion in breath-stoppingly freezing water. Amazing! :-)

The dinner was virtually indescribable! However... it included tons of wine, laughter, food, more laughter, wine, wild scottish dancing to music provided by Cameron and an ace accordianist (really!), more wine, more laughter, much singing,yet more dancing and wine, a wee dram or so and then a 3.30am finish. It was truly amazing, and one of the best nights I've ever had! Roll on next time, and many thanks to Roger Smith and all the other organisers and helpers. Brilliant stuff :-)
