Sorry another tent question..
Which tents should I be looking at. My basic criteria are:

1. Needs to be readily sourced from the US. (So Terra Nova is prob. out)
2. 3 Person
3. Geodesic - I have taken the side of the Geodesicists purely 'cos I am not very experienced in putting up tents and from what I've read tunnel tent's effectiveness is pretty closely related to how well it is pitched.
4. 4 Season (Expedition type) - I know that it is unlikely that I will ever camp half way up Everest, but I would like to only buy one tent which will go everywhere from camping in Utah to a cold, wet, windy winter in Yorkshire.

My shortlist so far is
TNF VE-25, Expedition 36
MHW Trango 3.1
Eureka K-2 XF

Any suggestions? Any experience with the tents on the shortlist? Any glaring holes in my criteria?

I can vouch for the VE-25. I've had mine for several years. It has been used in most conditions including 80mph winds that turned a caravan over.

I have the earliest version with venting in the roof of the fly and inner, which works well, but the newest type is less messy.

Great tent. loads of inner space, but the
porches could be bigger.

I don't really know what tents are readily available in the States. Have you looked at BackPackGearTest.org, though? They have a lot of very useful reviews, and I think most of the reviews emanate from US users.

Check out the Marmot Thor 3 person. It's a serious rival to VE25 and Quasar, and easier to get in US than in Europe. Weighs 5kg all in all.
