Back to head torches.

"Hyper Bright" and "Super Bright" LEDs like in the Black Diamond Zenix. Are they much better than normal LEDs?
which is brighter Hyper or Super?

Hi Charlie

I have the Zenix if you want to have a look at it sometime.

I did a review on here about a year back. My review would not really change much if I did it again now. The battery life does not seem as good as it might be, I think the new Zenix has a power management chip that improves things, but it is even more expensive.

Basically it is good, but not exceptional compared with other torches of the same price.

I'm actuallt more intrested in the Nightray, but thanks for the offer.

I bought a Primus LED headlamp recently.
Two reds, or 4 low power white fixed or flashing, and a super bright long range white.
Comfy headband with a battery box (3x AA) that can be taken off and worn on a neckband.
Also, a fingertip remote control that is supposedly an excellent idea for cavers.
Cost me £45 at a boat show. Seems better than this Silva device for £70. My other £25 bought me a turbo lighter and 4 cushions to bribe the wife with.
