This came as a bit of a shock, so I had to read it twice to make sure.

Just to add my sentiments to those of Dave & Jon; wishing Jules a full and speedy recovery. Take care everyone.

Glad you are both (fundamentally) OK, but most of all, hope you make a quick recovery Jules.

I've never had anything THAT nasty happen to me but don't let it stop you getting out & up again once everything's mended!

All the best.

Glad to hear you got all your kit back, possibly with interest!. Nothing worse that lying in bed wondering which buggers are rubbing their hands as they retrieve all your lost gear.

Hope your back out and about soon Jules.

Thanks again, never went to work Darren, still on hols till monday.

I can walk ok as long as I go slow and dont bend by leg too much. I might have to ring and tell them I will be in on Monday to do paper work though.

And I should thank Stu for running to help me and helping me retrieve my kit.

Glad everything's turned out OK.

My girlfriend read the article over my shoulder. At one point she gasped: "I wouldn't want them writing that about me!!"

And what was she reacting to?

'a large bulge of fat was coming out of the wound'

tut, women eh?

Seriously though, I wish you a speedy recovery, and well played Stu.

Michael, tell her the Doc had to trim the fat away before he stitched it up so at least I got free liposuction out of it.

Ouch Jules! Sounds painful. Glad you're on the mend. Getting you gear back too? Takes a lot to stop you obviously!

Bit of a drastic way to get liposuction though. Hope you're out and about again soon.
