The North Face Trail Hits Grizedale
Feeling a bit multi-disciplinary? The North Face is the headline sponsor for a stonking new mountain bike trail in the Lake District's Grizedale Forest. Check the pics and drool :-)

We're all getting very cross disciplined at the moment, which can only be a good thing.
I've known many people who do just one activity and view all others as the work of satan.
Looking forward now to my first 'rambler' related story on bikemagic :o)

*Drool*

That looks like cracking fun.

I'd very much agree ptc*. I had a cracking ride at Llandegla last weekend and I'm off walking this weekend. We can all go out and enjoy the outdoors.

Agree Pete

Last Snowdonia meet, we had people walking, scrambling and climbing. It seems that at Duddon, there will be walking, climbing and mountain biking. Kayaking meets have also been proposed.
It's great that OM is NOT just about hillwalking. We are, after all, OUTDOORSMagic, not HillwalkerMagic :)

Ah, it's like that line from The Collective - there are girls, cars, beer and bikes. You don't have to have three, you can have four... Or something like that :-)

Ooops, wrong site...

Cross dressing... only at weekends!

I'd be up for a weekend in Grizedale.

I've stayed at the Grizedale Lodge before, that was nice (four poster beds to score points with my girlfriend!) and about 100m from the visitor centre.

I think The Eagle (is that the right name?) at Satterthwaite has rooms but not sure how much and if they are bike friendly. Good pint served when I visited though.

Where's the nearest camping? The large(ish) site by the Hawkshead "ring-road"?

I think a group of us are going next weekend fromt he duddon meet?

There was a great campsite at Grizedale Hall but i have it on good authority that it closed which makes the nearest campsite a way away.

Just back from Fort William World Cup, three amazing days, spend the whole of Sunday wandering about Aonach Mor watching the downhillers doing the undefineable. Got down the hill to see Steve Peat crossing the line to win, I'm still hoarse.
Two British Golds, see it on the news?
Thought not.
