can I read it on my pda or do I need to use a pc?

I have to agree entirley with JH - the paper copy of the magazine is great for thumbing through when watching the TV - but it would be nice to have it as reference on screen. It does seem odd that TGO want the money twice - is there as much cost in preparing an on-line magazine? Surely it is all prepared digitally anyway for printing - and can ony be a short step away from having an emailable version? So - I shall stick to the paper version and fill yet more cupboards with the old copies.

Well, having subsribed to the Digital Mag at the end of last week, I still haven't received it in my inbox yet. Perhaps the subscription won't be valid until next issue?
Come on people! I wanna read my first TGO in a couple of years.
I'd ring to ask if I were you, Andy. In fact, I did my subscribing over the telephone. It was a while ago so I haven't got the number any more. John - avez vous le number, please? :)

0141 302 7744 - that's also the number on which you might get answers to any queries about non-deliveries, though I have brought this thread to the attention of some of the folks in the office...
Keep the comments coming folks!

The subscription people emailed me today to check that I really wanted 2 * magazine subscription - which I didn't. I was quite impressed by them!

Tres bon, but what on earth is that?? Did they mean both hard copy and digital? If so, 100 Brownie Points!
They'z very very nice people in our subs dept, they is!

but can I read it on my pda?

 Your Weirdness,
Have made a few enquries about the office and we believe not at the moment. But the folks who developed the software have talked about making it so in future upgrades, so it's hopefully a case of watch this space (or some other space...).
Worth cxonsidering that there'd obviously be issues with navigating around a page on a screen so small, even with the facility to zoom in on text.
(The ideal solution in my mind would be a low-tech A4 printed version of the magazine, that's just as portable as a PDA and gets around the need for a zoom facility – if the text appears small, the A4 page can simply be moved closer to one's eyes. In this respect we've been ahead of the competition since 1978!)

Darren, you could always print the digital version, then scan it back in as a word document and save as a pdf document to read on your PDA :)
Lol about the low tech version.
However I do read pdf versions of documents on the small screen, even the downloadable version of the BMC Summit mag.
Dave fantastic idea, and it would also have the benefit of filling up all that spare time I have at the moment :-)
 Many thanks for that Darren,
I'll pass that feedback along to those who ought to know.

Oh and I also read pdf docs on my Nokia 9500 (ok not your average phone, more Psion Series 5 with a phone glued on it, also known as a brick compared to other phones available, but hey it's got wifi).
 cheers John for that
Just out of interest, isn't there a lot of function overlap with the 9500 and your PDA?

Worth noting that if you sign up just now - you won't be able to get the Dec issue. Will need to wait for the January issue arriving via email 1st week in Dec.
<trots off to WHS for Dec issue...>
