What dates are you talking here Alan?

(I'm currently serving at RAF Cosford and have quite a few contacts about, including some ex-servicemen who still work with me as instructors there.)

This was waaaaay back in 70 - 74. I served '70 - '80 starting on Lightnings and ending on Phantoms. (Airframes).

I'll ask about at work, my WO is ex Tooms and Frightnings and he joined in 1970. Also some of my collegues are of the same vintage...I'll askaround and see what I can come up with.

Tim H signing in; still operating in the hills with the Stoon Mountaineering Club (Son of Wittering Expedition Club). Regret Paul Cornish passed away many years ago (suicide). Look forward to hearing new contacts

Tim - how the devil are you???

I only found out about this post from Colin Murray. I've not been on this forum for AGES!

Well, to cut a long story short, I've regained contact with Colin Murray, Dave Rowberry, Mick Bowers, Bob & Pat Jenkins, Dick Steventon and Willie Crawford.

Bob & Pat and Willie live relatively close to me (Braintree, Essex) and I've been round to visit.

A few weeks ago, Some of us met up at the campsite at Langdale for about 5 days. Beside myself, there was Colin, Mick and Dave. What struck us was that within a few minutes of meeting, it was like we'd last seen one another a few weeks previous. We had a great time and got some walking done.

For pictures, check out Friends Reunited, then search under Armed Forces, Wattisham Expedition Club. There's some old and recent photo's on there.

Colin left me to respond to your above message, then he'll be in touch as well. So expect to hear from him soon!

Get in touch again soon, and I'll fill you in with more detail etc. You can e-mail me at alan.homesolutions@gmail.com

Regards

Smudge
