Zip on insulated winter trousers
Are they out there?

Has anyone seen a manufacturer making a reasonably lightweight/stuffable pair of insulated trousers, ideally with full length side zips, which you can chuck on during inactivity or in camp time in colder winters?
We used to have the (admittedly pretty dodgy) 'Chairman Mao' quilted zip up trousers in the military that were originally for cold weather/arctic use, but the idea's the same. I figure that with better fabrics and insulation it'd be easy to produce a lightweight warm equivalent with a small pack size, similar to most duvet jackets perhaps, but as I can't seem to find any, perhaps it's just me then?!!
Thanks,
Paul

Yep, Mountain Equipment sells a pair for about 60 quid I think. Synthetic insulation with full-length zips, sounds just like what you're looking for.

Cirrus Overtrousers they're called.

Patagonia do insulated overtrousers ('Micropuff') & TNF do as well...Remember seeing Mtn Hardwear insulated trousers too.
