Does anyone know what the Scarpa guarantee is as I have a pair of Heliums (the old ones) and the sole is beginning to come off at the back (!) but as I am away at uni all the details of it are at home.

Cheers

If the product is not able to perform it's intended role within a resonable time then they should be replaced. This is aside from any guarantee.

The sole came away from my Mantas a while ago. They were at least 2 years old, if not older. Took them back to the shop that sent them back to Scarpa. A few days later they credited the shop with a new pair so now I have the new style Mantas! I was very impressed with Scarpa. Just need to break them in now. The other ones were like slippers!

I picked up an old style pair cheap when the new one came out. You break them in? Probably explains why my calfs hurt like mad when I got back down from the Glyders on my first walk in them. They did feel a bit looser on the Carneddeau on their second walk. Didn't cause any other problems though.

My only issue is that my feet don't seem to work in "normal" footwear any more.

Are the new ones any better, I like a stiff boot so articulated ankles doesn't seem much of a selling point to me.

Mine are the old style ones too, its not a problem but potentially could be, we'll see.

Otherwise I have been very pleased with them, have worn then trekking in Thailand and as everyday shoes in the UK!
