Anyone got any recommendations (or seen any good offers) for ski pants / sallopetes?

I got a very warm and waterproof but heavy pair from Makro a while back. That weird Trespass brand. Only good if its stupidly cold. Like last sunday!

£40 was the reason by the way...

Anyone tried the Paramo Sallopetes? Are the ones reduced in price the previous year model - i.e. heavier?

I do all my skiing in Paramo salopettes - downhill and touring. Just back from a week in Norway where daytime temperatures were -15 to -20 plus some windchill. They were great.

Mine are about 6 years old so definitely the heavier fabric, but my mate was wearing new ones in the lighter material and was also fine. I reckon the reduced ones would still be the lighter material even if last year's model - it's more than a year (2 or 3?) since they reduced the weight of the pump liner.
