Since deciding I'd like to start getting into the hills in winter and then deciding to start climbing, I felt it was time to readjust my figure for the better! Having just tripped past the 4 stones lost mark (about 1 still to go though!)you can probably imagine I am looking at a whole (rather sparse!) new set of clothes. As a result, I have some rather tasty stuff in the XXL and Xl sizes to get rid of. For example, Marmot Glenmore XCR mountaineering jacket(XL), Berghaus Paclite II jacket(XXL), monkey man fleece(XL), Berghaus gore-tex trousers(XXL) etc.

My question is - any ideas where I can advertise/get a decent price (pretty much all good as new condition)?

Alternatively, if anyone is interested - email me on mike.tinsley@pppgroup.co.uk

Oh, need the money to fund a serious addiction to Arc'teryx kit!!!!

We've got a classified section on this site - click under the 'Gear' link at the top of the page, then 'Classifieds'. It's not as high profile as it ought to be, but I'll mention it in today's newsletter as well.

Some of the mags have classified ad sections, plus quite a few gear shops have noticeboards where you can advertise kit for free. Definitely Outside in Hatherdage and Cotswold in Manchester. Sold a pair of plastic boots through the latter a few years back, good cos it's near the university so gets a load of student traffic.

Congrats on losing all that weight btw, I guess if your Arc'teryx addiction is severe you'll not be able to afford food anyway...

Have you also thought about EBAY...there is an outdoors section there:

I second the Ebay suggestion, and have sold (and bought) some gear on there myself. There is an ebay.co.uk as well as ebay.com. Another possibility is ukclimbing.com.

did I put .com?

I mean ebay.co.uk

Soz for any confusion!

As a little aside.....

Jon,

I quite often read my OM stuff on my PDA. I've noticed that the classified section comes across as part of AvantGO but the only thing missing is any contact info for the seller. Any chance of feeding that back?

Cheers.

TGO has a used gear section in the classifieds.

Thanks for the tips - classifieds are now up on this site (and will probably start appearing elsewhere soon!)
