On a bit of a budget, trying to get myself a pair of size 11 merrells (tried them and found them to be comfy enough), or something similar.
Anyone know of any discounted pairs? or alternatives at good prices (ie 30 - 40)

Dont get the mesa ventilator, we sent hundereds of pairs back to merrell at work because you can sit down and pull them to pieces with your fingers without breaking a sweat. lol. I seem to remember postfreeoutdoorgear.com have some merrells at a reasonable type price, just be cheeky and try them all on somewhere then order when you get home ;)

can you reccomend any others than merrells if they fall apart?

Its a specific fault on the mens' Mesa, all the other merrells are fine, and the womens' Mesas are fine. The chameleon II slam is a good bet if you're after merrell.

As far as im aware we havent recieved many Mesa Ventilator's back. If you can let me know what the exact problem is, i can then look into this in further detail and see if we can correct the problem. Thanks.

has anyone used the Keen Banff hybrid shoe sand? are they hardwearing, or as hardwearing as one of the merrells for example
Show/hide user stats
Matt, the problem was with most, but not all, of the mens model, the finger loops on the heel come right off with absolutely no effort at all, you can literally pull them away from the rest of the shoe by just bending your finger.

Thanks for the feedback and i shall look into this asap. Do you know if any of the faulty products were returned to us? Or was the usual returning procedure followed? I appreciate your help on this one! Cheers

They were all sent back to our warehouse, I have no idea what happened to them after that but as it appeared to be a whole batch of faulty goods I imagine it was a pretty large scale return.

Thanks Simon,

I have checked out the situtation and you are quite right, there was a batch fault with this product. This is now in the process of being corrected. Thanks for for info. This product has been around for a while and this is the first major issue we have had. Apologies to all those effected.

Cheers

Thanks Guys,

The original problem was with the Mesa III. However this problems seems to be limited to one batch which has now been solved.

Thanks everyone for their help.
