I am looking for a two man tent that I can use on the hills, but is also stable enough to use for summer alpine climbing.
I have got my eye on TNF Fortress 23 which I have tracked down for £230 but can't seem to find any reviews/tests on it.
Has anyone got/used one, how good are they. Have friends who have the Westwind and swear by them and i don't fancy spending £400 on a full expedition tent??

Hi Chillagorilla!!
You didn't happen to buy a Fortress 23 did you? I am in a similar position to you in that there are no reviews anywhere!! AND the tents are reduced in a number of places... maybe I should be worried about this combination of circumstances. If you did take the plunge and can share anything that would be much appreciated!!

Guys,

The Outdoor Shop (www.theoutdoorshop.com) is selling the Westwind for £225 - look in the clearance section of their site.

I bought one a few months ago and it feels bombproof and only drawback is that the porch is quite small.
