Hi, I'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere in the UK that still stocks Mountain Hardwear pct2 tents. I've tried ellis brigham, snow + rock and raw outdoors. All emailed back after i ordered saying they could not deliver the goods.
I'm also considering ordering it from america. At $175 it seems like a good deal but how much more on top of that am i likely to pay in tax?
Finally, i would settle for a mountain hardwear meridian 2 but cannot find any customer reviews - does anyone have any info?
Could anyone recommend something similar (two vestibules, around 2kg, small packsize, 3 season, and less than £200).
Thanks in advance,
AN02ZEJ

hiya ANO,
I imported a Big Agnes tent of similar value from the US a while back and as expected the duty and fees came to about £40 if i remember correctly.

id recommend them very roomy and light but only 1 vestibule.

How do you pay the duties? Do you get a letter from the tax man or is it just taken from your card?

you get a letter from the post office asking for money, you give them a ring and pay on your card. its all very annoying really. unfortunatley im not an expert in tax evasion.
