Has anyone got one of these or read any reviews ? They look like being a slightly warmer/bulkier jacket compared to phd minimus or rab neutrino lite.

I've got the gilet.Wanted an extra-layer to put on during stops in cold conditions etc.Looked online at those from W.Mountaineering and PHD but couldn't justify the cost!
I found the Montane online at a good price and it's ideal.

I too have been thinking about this jacket.

Does anyone know how good the DWR coating is on it? I want to be able to use it standing around in damp but not raining conditions, but it might brush against wet vegetation etc. so I don't want it to easily soak.

I keep thinking of synthetics, but when I actually get to see them they seem v.thin.

Superkat - I've been using synthetics as my campwear but generally find they are not the best weight/warm combo. Down is much better but must be kept dry. The DWR on these jackets make them "drizzle proof" for a short while only. You need to work on the premise that they need to kept dry and kept out of the rain. Brushing against the odd bit of veg should be ok with a 400mm hydrostatic head.

Agree with ecco's comments.
I think of the DWR on a down garment as giving me just enough time to cover it with a waterproof to prevent ending up with a soggy mess!
