To all who enjoy a wee rink or two, apparently theres a south african wine supplier with a 40% off voucher for Threshers wine shop. I've tried googling but can't find it. It was mentioned on the lunchtime news and threshers have said they will honour the voucher!!!!

25% off at Sainsburys if you buy 6 (can be mixed) bottles. Tesco is doing the same thing. I see some good parties happening :-).
thats why there were loads of people with full wine carriers in sainsburys today...
PARTY ON!
Lets all have a party, got the voucher saved on my desktop so as long as I go shopping before the 10th of December, my christmas will be so much more 'merrier'.
Drink responsibly!!!

Cheapskates..............it's only valid to a maximum of £500!

.jpg) You can also print the voucher off the Superplonk website and a few other financial websites. It's a bit of clever marketing by Threshers, especially as it has been reported as a blunder by some media, of Thresher using websites and emailing to promote it. However, their everyday offer of 'buy 2 get a 3rd free' is 33% discount anyway. So it's created all this media hype for only an extra 7% discount off their normal offer. Think about the interest created with all those people who wouldn't normally shop at Threshers, especially at this time of year. We're even talking about it on this forum!

I heard the Threshers offer being reported on the radio and they were suggesting that the company may have made these vouchers available on line deliberately to be circulated freely and it's all clever marketing and a bit of a publicity stunt. As others have said, there are plenty of other offers around just now, so probably worth shopping around.
Drink responsibly!!!
But of course;)
Crossed posts there Paul:)

.jpg) Well, their 'buy 2 get a 3rd free' offer should mean that you can't buy it cheaper anywhere else, but you have to buy 3 bottles. That applies especially to Champagne, where you generally won't find it cheaper elsewhere, unless it's against a specific promotion. So at 40% off, it's still actually an excellent deal from Threshers for any individual wanting to buy their xmas wine now, hype or not!.
I wasn't bashing them, anyone taking up the offer will get their wines and champagne all very cheap, I was just pointing out that it was a very clever marketing strategy, but the deal still adds up for you and me!.
At the end of the day, they're all at it. It's just a bit of inovation from Threshers and if you're a marketing person like me, then, right now, they've done it a bit better than the rest to catch our attention.

I work in a small independant and this could hit us hard...
Shame it doesn't apply to beer ;-)
.jpg) I've also been told that Threshers will have £5-£10 off all their Malt Whiskey from Wednesday or Thursday this week. Not sure how that compares to the Supermarkets.
Tesco has 15 year old Glenlivet at half price £14.99, most other single malts at £-£10 off.

I thought you are in Dublin, Dave, why are you worrying about whisky? ;-)
I don't drink, so can't benefit from the Threshers offer. Anyone offering 40% off soft drinks?

.jpg) Are you a nun Kate? respect, whatever, I wish I had some self restraint. I meant Whisky!

No, Paul, I'm not a nun, and it's nothing to do with self-restraint! I don't like alcohol. I'll try anything - well, anything alcoholic - in the hope that eventually I'll find something I like. It did help me to remain solvent during my 9 years as a student, but feel I have missed out on one of life's experiences by never having been drunk!!
