Visitor Centres (without anything on the outside to be the centre of).

Places which sell medium and large coffees (but not small ones)

Places which sell regular and large coffees ( but not irregular ones)

If you ask in Starbucks you can get a small coffee (cheaper than the smallest one on the board). They just don't advertise the fact.

Still tastes like milky water though ;-)

Camping next to or near cess tanks at NT campsites (specifically Langdale) in the middle of summer, unless you a very confident the wind is not going to change direction for the duration of your stay.

Taking a tent up to Angle tarn in the summer if you fancy a bit of solitude.

The highest peaks on a bank holiday weekend

Darryl's cafe for breakfast in Ambleside if you are on a diet.

Anywhere that you can see Bearded Git's terrifying new avatar. Or indeed, where it can see you.

Crivvens!

Rhyl in North Wales. Probably the biggest dump I've ever been to.

I'd avoid:

St Mary Street on a saturday night.

Anywhere in the vicinity of the gents' on the 4th floor of the humanities' building. Obviously I've never been in there, but the whiff emanating from it is evidence enough.
