Just thought i would share my happyness that i wone some new Raichle Trail XT GTX boots courtesy of Trail for a route suggestion that i made a few weeks back.

and i even got my name on pg 116 of the new mag lol.

Also won a keg of conniston bluebird beer from else where mag so its a double whammy.

just had aquick flick through and my new boots dont feature in the gear test but my current boots come 1st in the test so it will be intresting to see how the Raichle compare.

anwyay enough celebrating ;o)

Congrats, Moggy - will await my Trail (or Snail as I've come to consider it) with interest. I've got a pair of those xt gtx boots and really like them. I seem to recall they came top in Snail's 3/4 season boot gear test last year.

I ground my fingers to the bone on this keyboard over there and won nothing :o)

A mate who i go walking with has a pair of the XT gtx as does his missues so that will look good when we all go out wearing the same boots lol

Aye i thin i like the old man ale better but bluebird is still a cracking beer especially when freshly pulled from the 5ltr keg ;o)

Boots just arrived after a slight mix up where they sent me the wrong ones.

Well chuffed and cant wait to get out and test them.

first impressions are they feel a lot different to my scarpa nepal boots - stiffer and higher up but also a bit strange to walk on but i guess thats just a case of getting used to them.
