Rab Generator, what instead?

I have spent ages trying to decide on something to keep me warm when stopping for something to eat or when in camp. I finally decided on the Rab Generator but it appears no one has any?

So I am now looking at an alternative that is as warm and light. The other top I had been looking at was the Klattermusen
Liv Down Smock on backpackinglight.co.uk but they don't have that in medium and had talked myself out of a down top in favour of the Generator.

Anyone any ideas what would be as light and warm, Montane Verso is another 100g.

Any advice welcome :-)

I bought a PHD Sigma smock,Very Good.Possibly a tad heavier and bulkier than Generator, but not sure. Its good anyway.

Decided to go with a Berghaus Infinity Light after a lot of head scratching. Lots of people rave about them and appear to be very similar to the Generator!

Steven, I have an Infinity Light and rest assured they are excellent. Weigh next to nothing, are warm and cut out the wind as well.Good choice.

Was a bit worried when I ordered it having not seen one. Especially when it had taken me weeks to decide on the Rab Generator until the became invisible.

Anyway thanks for boosting my confidence in my purchase :-)

I use a Mammut stratus - one a lighweight, one a heavyweight with a hood.

The Montane Prism Jacket is a great alternative if you want a hooded one.

Otherwise, I agree that Rab Generator is a good compromise quality /weight/costs.

If you want to move into the ultra light, have a look at the cocoon pullover abroad at backpackinglight US.
