with all this talk of reproofing and so on the forum it reminded me of something i saw on alpkit's site the other day

that's right...water resistant jeans!!
thought i might be being lead down the garden path (aka the april fools joke) but i know of no reason for such a prank atm and it looks real enough

anyhow what y'all think? has "fashionable" gear reached it's zenith?! or am i just being fooled?

Marks and Spencers sell blue jeans, stretch waist, and the add label says water resistant, my mother bought me a pair, I took them to the sink and ran them under the tap.. they acted like plastic, and the water ran right off them, every drop. They were £25 and I guess are simalar idea to what you are discribing..

I think they will last until the jeans get dirty, But its a guess, I took them back and swapped them for a summer shirt.. thanks mom.

I have seen this material demonstrated somewhere, but I have to be honest and say I wonder where you would need to be waterproof and fashionable?
