Anyone bought one, and are they any good?

I've got one. I started a thread about it here, which may help. I've used it quite a few times now and I'm most pleased with it for £35. Comparing it with synthetic bags I've seen at around that price point it packs way way smaller, though I couldn't compare the performance. It's certainly done me well enough for low-level camping since I bought it.

What did you want to know?

I did wonder about getting one to unpick the bottom section and feed the down into the top sections, to end up with a cheap top-only down bag. But I don't know if I have the sewing skills.

I borrowed one.

I found the neck to be quite narrow. Can't comment on the non-fluffing up of the down as this is the only down bag I've used. There is no shoulder baffle. Its very light and packs down small.

There are alternative down-tec ones on ebay that are more or less the same price.

It was adequately warm for a not too cold night (8 or 9 degrees).

Anything really, pro's & cons, ease of use, durability, VFM, that sort of thing.

There is some very slight leakage of the fill, no worse than my down jacket was

You might want to use a liner as some may not like the inner material. I use a cotton one (cheap!) to stop it stinking. I'm sure this adds some insulation value so bear that in mind with my comments.

Packs down pretty small-I can fit the bag and a Tesco mummy liner into an 8 litre (medium) Exped fold-drybag without any difficulty, with enough material to fold the seal over 4 times.

It is a bit narrow around the opening but then I found that helped keep the heat in.

I really like the hood on this, no troubles with the drawstring either.

You *may* have trouble fitting if you're much over say 6'1". I'm 6'1.5" and I reckon it could close a little nearer my lower lip, but that stops me breathing into it when bivvying.

Velcro closure is pretty good-stays closed all night and it seems to be angled downward so even if it did come undone, it's less likely to rub against your face.

I've not really had it long enough to comment on durability, but I've probably used it for 10 nights and had no problems so far.

It's a cheap down bag which works. Down's advantages make this a good buy imho, if only for the pack size. And I'm pretty sure others have said Tesco will take it back if you don't like it.

Thanks, I'll probably give it a try then.
