What are these Asolo Boots?
Help me identify my boots

I bought these while on a fleeting visit to some French Hypermarche near the Belgian border a few years back, and I have no idea what they are or what they are designed for. They feel like they have a 3/4 shank and they fit my feet like no other boot ever has. Very sturdy, and a high ankle provides plenty of protection. They are not the lightest of boots, but I prefer the sturdyness than lightness.

Any ideas what they are?

Oops. Thanks Kate. Is there a post editing function on this forum? I can't see one anywhere.

There is an editing facility, Dan, but it's for a limited time only (and possibly is also dependent on how many other people post after you? But I'm not sure about that one). After you post, the page reloads and in the bottom r/h corner of your comment, there's an option to "send to friend" and another one to edit post.

Dan, I work with Asolo in the UK but I don't recognise the boots - the model must be a good 5 years old. Can you tell me why you want to find out? I can always ask the guys in Italy but if you're looking for something similar I may be able to help there too.

To be honest, it was just idle curiosity. I like to know a bit about my kit, but as I bought these in a flying rush, I didn't really do any research at the time. Don't put yourself out on my behalf. It was 6 years ago that I bought them.
