Island Pros are hard to find in the UK in the UK but they are very well stocked on the continent. Decathlon, Intersport and most of the major sports/outdoors retailers have them. The Island Pros are a pretty standard 200 Euros and I have never seen them on sale (perhaps a 10% off but nothing major). As I was up in the Pyrenees, swinging by Andorra wasn't a problem and after getting alcoholic Christmas presents for the family and filling the tank of my car with cheap fuel, it easily paid for itself. The 30% discount on the Meindls was an unexpected bonus.

Where are you in the UK, fitwit? I am pretty sure that Open Air in Cambridge and Fox's of Amersham both keep them in stock in their shops (but not online) if you are in the South. Give them a call.
