Anyone manage to get there? Managed to get there for 8, thought I'd be one of the first in the queue but the place was rammed already.

Picked up 2x AD900 sleeping bags, (£65 each), and 2x fat airics for about £16 a piece though, plus 1 or 2 other bits and pieces.

Made up with the bits I got, going to try out the -20C credentials of the sleeping bags in Edale in the next week or two.

Hah, hope so. Going to be looking for the frostiest areas in the next week or two that's for sure.

Never had a down bag before. Please forgive my enthusiasm.

julio, down bags rock.  For me to buy another synthetic bag, it'd have to be a pretty amazing one when compared to what's out now.  Down bags are snugglier, warmer, lighter and squash down smaller.

Do keep it dry.  On my last trip out, I got my Rab Quantum 200 (which is a tiny bag at 490g in the first place) a little damp on the bum, and my bum basically froze.  Not comfy or snuggly.
