I some how managed to break my whisperlite and I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with getting spare parts / warranty claims from MSR.

The specific part is the plunger that you use to pressurise the fuel bottle.

Is it possible to get this part replaced, has anyone been in a similar situation and got any help from MSR?

MSR sell replacement fuel pump assemblies.  You can usually pick then up in most shops that sell MSR stoves.

Not sure what the situation would be if it was a warranty claim.  I guess in the first instance you'd need to take it back to store you bought if from.
