I have just started a website selling customised waterproof, custom ID labels. Edited: as someone's mentioned below, we have a no trade advertising policy on this forum. If you're interested in advertising on OM, please contact Dominic Young - dominic@magicalia.com. Sounds like an interesting idea though, please feel free to drop me an e-mail with some more details. This is a commercial site and all advertisers have to pay to do so. Please email the editor on jonAToutdoorsmagic.com for details

I've edited the original post because we have a no trade advertising policy on the forum. It sounds like an interesting idea though. Please feel free to drop me a line with some more details.

Cool. I know we don't cater very well for small advertisers btw, but if something's newsworthy or interesting enough to make a good news story then it will.

I didn't think it was that commercial, glad the post stayed as I think its a good idea and nto everyone can storm in and pay daft prices to advertise there ideas. Its not like he was throwing it in our faces like the spammers do.

I didn't think it was that commercial, Its not like he was throwing it in our faces like the spammers do. It doesn't look that commercial because you didn't read it. It *did* look lke spam before. glad the post stayed It didn't. What you see is the edited version - mostly Jon's words.

Is this a system for marking climbing gear? There was a company called Tags4 which sold something similar and was recommended by Needlesports, but their website went offline last year. There has been discussion about it on UKClimbing, but I haven't seen it mentioned here. I've been looking for something similar since Tags4 disappeared.

Maybe there is something wrong with my browser, but any attempt to get past the tags4 homepage is met with either another copy of the homepage or a broken link.
It probably isn't your browser, Dan. It does the same for me whether I use Firefox or IE (version 6). I think their web site's broken.

If C Bass put his website address in his profile (HINT HINT) then we`d be able to find out, that`s not advertising shirley .
 ...or even after his username
Aaahhh, thats just so crazy it might work, bear with me...

Or if he were to come on and discuss the merits of his product, while pretending to be a user of the aforementioned item, then adding a link to it "out of interest", that would be ok as well!
Not that devious I am afraid, already been in trouble for "spamming", dont want it to be true. The website is on my profile, please have a look. Of course if anyone wanted to order some and discuss the merits, thats just fine, only a tenner...

So looking at the unmentionable site it is fairly obvious that this isn't the biggest commercial site so I'm going to provide some user feedback on here... The idea of passing a commercial website off as though it were a blog is quite neat although I can;t see it catching on too well. "the colours listed on the order page are by no means exclusive" - I don't get any colours listed on the order page in either Firefox or IE. Presumably there should be a dropdown for the colours rather than the text box that is actually present The photos page doesn't load photos very quickly and why are most of them of the blurred inside of a bar? Should I really part with my cash to someone who is more interested in bars than putting more than two photos of the product online? Edited to remove inadvertant link in copied text, didn't realise the new forum code was that clever.
