Hi all

Im looking at getting a balaclava.I would like slits for the arms of glasses and a peak.

I have found a few with these features,but none with both.Can anyone suggest a product ?

Can you not just put the glasses arms through the eye hole and over your ears? Thats what I do. Also if wearing a balaclave are you not more likely to be wearing storm goggles, which would go around the whole thing anyway?

Also if the weather warrants wearing a balaclave, are you not likely to have your hood up, with a peak on it?

You would have a lot more options if you would go for one without these features. Features I would go for would be:

Breathing gap, a little mesh section under the nose so you can still breathe well and avoid condensation in the nose area. And one that you can pull down to use as a neck warmer when you dont need full protection.

Yes,Id agree with your comments...but just thought Id ask the question anyway,just in case such a product exsisted.BTW, I quite lile the look of the Extremities Windy and Active X ones.Same style but the Active one is less bulky for cycling etc..

I've got a Polartec 100 Craghoppers one which is very good when the excrement hits the air conditioning, it's thin enough to go under a mountain cap in balaclava mode and thick enough to work on its own rolled up most of the time.  Model no longer seems to exist, but it's a general suggestion for P-tec 100 being a good weight of material and stretchy enough to work well as a hat.

 A Polar Buff also doubles as a moderately good balaclava.
