Pain on heel using Scarpa ZG65 XCR

Hey all wonder if you can answer this question. I've had my Scarpa ZG65's now for about 6 months and up till weekend they have been great! However this weekend i started getting this really sharp pain down the heel of my foot. Its not a rubbing/blister type pain and they don't seem to be rubbing. It occurs when i put the heel of the foot into the back of the boot for example going up a steep bit of ground, but goes off if i'm coming down. Could i be wearing too think a shock and this is not allowing my foot to move around at the back a bit and basically yanking my foot up and down by the heel when i go up steep bits?

I'm pretty sure its not the boot as they have be fine up till now and its not a rubbing thing and all the padding is still in good nick!

is it only when wearing these boots?  Pain in heel on putting weight through it sounds like plantar fasciitis, but I'd expect that to be present regardless of your shoes.  If it's a shoe issue I'm not your expert

Well its most painful when wearing my boots but also can feel it when wearing my fell shoes. Its only on my left foot as well, the slightly larger one!

No its in achilles area, well just down from, top of the heel bone

not sure then - possibly boot rather than foot prob.  maybe a shoe expert from here could advise you better.

cheers for your help! Just weird how its only started happening after 6 months of use!
