At the end of March, I found an emergency shelter on Dartmoor. I shall be happy to return it to the owner on receipt of a detailed description of both item and the route being followed at the time of the loss. Tel 01494 721282.

Hi there Hugh! Just to let you know that there is now a dedicated Lost and Found thread section on here now for all lost and founds, started so that these threads don't go getting lost into the ocean of other threads out there on OM Forum, as they do if done individually! Good on you for reporting the find though, as they are not cheap items at all, for thirty to forty quid each those-but they do it has to be said have a tendency to take to the wind on one, if one is not too careful enough! I learned that lesson too from past experience! I will change this thread over linking it into the main new dedicated lost and found thread for you now, ok! Cheers!

Found: mobile phone, in marsh grass* above Lower Chelburn Reservoir, between the Pennine way and the town of Summit (nr Rochdale, on the A6033), on Sunday 13th July 2008.

After finding no advice on the relevant phone company site, I managed to make my way through the phone system to report it missing this morning.

I have no charger for this model to power it up and check for details, however the mobile firm will be sending a freepost bag for me to send it back to them. The phone seems to have been lost rather than stolen and abandoned, as it still had its SIM and extra memory in tact. Some water damage by the looks of it.

*Incidentally, marsh grass and Terrocs don't work, but yes, Terrocs do drain quickly and yes, I hate wet feet!

For those who may wish to avoid the telephone menu system, lack of relevant on-line support and days of waiting, it would seem the address to which found Orange mobiles are sent is:
