hello 

any one know what the new  jw gossamer are like!,  i ve got a very old one i am wanting to replace.

Saw one in Kendal camping. It looked good, but was put off by the large paw print on the side. Interestingly the photo in the link you gave shows the other side to the paw print. The flysheet and groundsheet have very high hydrostatic heads for a lightweight tent. 10,000 for the ground and something like 8k for the fly. That should make it last and stay watertight for longer. The long length means that there is a lot of fabric between the two hoops. In the shop it looked like the inner and outer could touch if not pitched well on uneven ground. When I got in I felt that the inner was touching the outer.

I'd have given it a go if not for the awful paw print. Since then got a single skin for less weight and more money. Go figure. Give it a go and post a review on this site.
