Thanks Trev It is a very pleasant site.

it's a brilliant site, it really helped me when i started getting into backpacking, but it hasn't been updated for ages- what's happened to the guy?
|
 |
I also found this site several years ago when deciding to start out with a bit more regular wild-camping and found it very useful. And no, it hasn't been updated for yonks, has it?

it looks like the kings of leon on vacation!
what an incredible site, you know the kings of leon would go backpacking! best photo is the guy in the 70's print swimming trunks looking 'happy' with his large beer!

I love that picture too. I bet they had a hoot and i expect the odd toot!

The scenery is stunning, but the paths looked a bit 'interesting' at times! Beth aka The Wimp

That was some good back country, and much of it reminded me of home...
Please, why am I in England again?

Trevor one for you - why do they call it 'BACKcountry' in the states ? where's the back and where's the front ?
|
 |
I thought it came from out of the saying 'in back of beyond', from early American popular newspaper speak.
